Digital Identity

The article “BLOGGING TO ESTABLISH YOUR DIGITAL IDENTITY ” is talking about how to write a professional blog. And it gives many examples in the blog on how to write a successful blog. The first step it is talking about is showing off your skills. in this part, it is talking about having a public archive of all your work. you want to do this because of all the hard you’re doing you should want people to see all the time you spent on this project and how great it is. Then next thing it is speak about is. To increase the visibility. What this means is be very careful what you are putting out there for people to see. even if you’re not the one doing whatever it is or maybe you are the one the point is that you don’t want your company that you work for or your boss to see whatever embarrassing things your posting online it will cost you your job in the long run and it’s not worth losing it just because you had to post one picture on Facebook. But you can for sure post positive things like news articles related to your job or interesting facts from articles that you find and you would like to share that with others. The next part it speaks about is how a blog sets you apart from other applicants. Let’s say for example you want to get a job or even an internship let’s say at a local newspaper or a clothing designer. If you go in there to the newspaper interview and they are asking you to have you ever written anything before? you will be able to respond yes, I have and I even have a blog and imp always writing on it. Your probloly more likely to get it then a person who has never written before. Or for the clothing if you tell them you blog and that way you can blog about new designs that came out to get people in the store they will defiantly higher you because you can bring in business. Another way it is helpful let’s say a very well-known company sees your blog and they are like we want them to blog for our company. That could be a major stepping stone for your carrier. so, this article was talking about blogging from a business stand point and how blogging can really help you in the long run.

Jules, I love you man, but cmon read this over. You have a lot of fragments and sentences that start with lower case letters. You should try combining other sentences together so you can have longer, well written sentences. But when you don’t speak with fragments, you are a good writer. I like how you get straight to the point. Maybe try going through the course website and see what you can find and make it’ll help you.

Julius, I just want to start off by saying great job on this weeks blog because the articles seemed really difficult to annotate. However, there are some errors in your writing, which can be fixed in no time. When putting an article in your blog post you do not have to capitalize the entire title, unless that is how the title is written t begin with. Second, I noticed that you started a sentence off with the word “and” instead of just putting a comma where the period is. On the other hand, I do agree with how blogs have the ability to set you apart from other applicants that do not have a blog. I have one question for you though, do you believe that blogs could have a negative influence on an applicant?

Yes I do believe they can have a negative influence on an application. The blog can be giving a bad review on the application that can cause people to be turned away from the application.
